This week I tried using two new tools to improve my workflow, Wunderlist and Pinterest. Though I enjoyed both tools, Wunderlist was a tool that I found myself using more and more as the week went on. At first, it was relaxing for me to empty my mind and my desk of sticky notes and put all of my reminders in one place. In my first day of using it, I did not have much organization, only a “School” and “Home” list. After a few days however, I modified my lists into long-term school projects, daily tasks at school, and even broke down my home lists. Consolidating all of my different lists into one place was overwhelming at first. I felt like I needed to complete all of my tasks as soon as I typed them out. Breaking down the lists into long-term and daily work did make this easier on me. I focused on the daily tasks first and then would process through steps of my long-term projects when I had additional time during the week. Overall, using Wunderlist helped me to be more productive during my day and it is a tool that I plan on continuing to use to help me both collect and organize tasks that need to be completed.
